Cranberry Portage offers two established and maintained nature trails suitable for hiking, running and mountain biking.

Fishermen will find a wide variety of fish in both Lake Athapapuskow and the Cranberry/Elbow Lake Chain. Many other lakes in the area are accessible by vehicle in only minutes. Lodges in the area also offer hunting trips and remote fishing trips.

Fishing enthusiasts making a visit to Sherridon will find a wide variety of fish in Kississing Lake and surrounding lakes. These lakes are known for their trout, northern pike and walleye.
